Why did Stay22 hire Interns for this Summer?
The decision to hire interns stems from several key benefits to get fresh perspectives and ideas from them. Therefore, our interns are mostly students, so they will have a new vision of the company due to their different educational backgrounds. The second benefit is that hiring new people is always increasing our productivity and allowing our full-time employees to focus on other priorities and delegate other tasks to the interns. And for the last benefit is Networking/Branding internship programs enable us to build relationships with universities and colleges (like Nathan with HEC Montreal) and can lead to word-of-mouth recommendations and attract top talent in the future.

Rayan
“I am Rayan Aouad, 20 years old and Lebanese. Currently, in my 3rd year at McGill University, I am pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce at Desautels Faculty of Management, specializing in Marketing. I love to play guitar as well as go for a ride on my bike around Montreal. I also enjoy playing chess: sometimes I can play for hours and not realize the time is passing! Really happy to be on board the Stay22 rocket ship for an internship this summer 🚀!”
What interests you about working at Stay22 specifically, and what do you hope to gain from this internship?
“I always wanted to experience working in a start-up. There is something really appealing about working in an environment that is constantly boiling with activity and constantly growing. Also, I look forward to learning to approach and contact eventual partners for Stay22. I would love to be able to close a deal with one of the travel bloggers I found during my lead research sessions. Overall, I am really grateful for the opportunity Stay22 is offering me through this internship, as I am able to discover the world of a growing start-up along with amazing coworkers!”
Elisa
“My name is Elisa, I am almost 24 years old, and I am a 2nd-year student of MBA International Travel Management, in a business school specializing in tourism called ESCAET and located in the most beautiful city of France, Aix-en-Provence. What I love the most in life is traveling. I have already lived for 1 year in Germany and in England. I also went to Sri Lanka for 5 months for my previous internship. What an experience! Discovering another culture, meeting new people, and admiring new landscapes are part of what drives me to travel. Otherwise, when I’m in France, I like to party with my friends, play sports (especially basketball), and I love to eat!”
What interests you about working at Stay22 specifically, and what do you hope to gain from this internship?
“Being a very dynamic person who particularly likes challenges, doing my end-of-studies internship in a start-up was an obvious choice for me. It is a business model that corresponds more to my personality than a ‘classic’ company. I also have an attraction to new technologies. So, by doing this internship at Stay22, I’ll be able to discover the tourism industry from another angle, and gain skills on the technical side.”
Nathan
“I am Nathan, I am turning 21 in July 🥳. I come from Guadeloupe and am currently pursuing a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing at Hec Montreal, It’s my second year here and I will graduate in 2024. I am so good at soccer that you cannot imagine, I like listening to music, especially US rap and my favorite artist is Post Malone.”
What interests you about working at Stay22 specifically, and what do you hope to gain from this internship?
“My relationship with Stay22 is special because I made a Digital Marketing Audit for them as part of a course with a group of HEC Montreal’s students. I was very involved in this project so after the audit, I reached out to them and here I am. I really want to develop my marketing skills during this internship and develop my network. The fact that it’s a start-up it’s very exciting to me because we are in constant growth and there is always something to improve. I feel excited to be a part of the rocketship🚀”
