Simplifying Mobile Bookings: New Stay22 Map Button
Booking through the Stay22 map just got a major upgrade.
We’ve introduced a new button to our Map, a sleek call-to-action designed to make booking faster and simpler—especially for mobile users. With more travelers engaging on their phones, this update is all about creating a smoother, more intuitive experience.
What You Can Expect
Boosted Conversions
The button helps users find and book accommodations in fewer steps, making it easier for them to complete their booking journey—especially on mobile.
Effortless Usability
One tap is all it takes to explore and book accommodations. By reducing the clicks and effort needed, the button provides a seamless experience for users, no matter their device.
Modernized UX
We’ve designed the button with a polished, user-friendly interface that feels natural and familiar. Think Airbnb or Google Maps—it’s a booking experience your users will love.
Why It Matters
This update addresses a challenge: keeping the booking process simple on mobile screens.
Desktop users make bookings at a higher rate through the map than mobile users. With the majority of your traffic visiting on mobile, we needed to find a solution to bridge the gap.
With the button, mobile users can effortlessly view all available accommodations, making it easier than ever to book quickly and confidently.
During early testing with our key partners, we discovered some exciting opportunities to boost mobile bookings. By adding Allez links as buttons to pages with maps—like event pages—we noticed mobile users gravitated toward direct booking options.
This showed us just how much users value a smooth, mobile-friendly experience. So, we took it a step further and decided to integrate a booking button right into the map widget itself.
We’re confident that this new solution helps your users find the accommodation they need in a way that fits how they browse.
How it works
When one of your users clicks the button, they are brought to a page of hotel listings from one of our OTA suppliers. The results are automatically filtered based on the parameters of your map, such as dates, location, and number of occupants.
The button uses our Roam AI technology to select the OTA supplier with which the user will most likely make a booking.
The button automatically adapts to match your Map's existing color scheme and branding setup. The button switches dynamically between accommodations and experiences mode depending on what you’ve selected to show on the map.
The button has been thoroughly tested and optimized to ensure there is no impact on page loading speed.

FAQ
-
Does adding another button increase map clutter?
We’ve designed this button to appear as a simple, unobtrusive option that reduces the need for users to navigate the map heavily on mobile. This keeps the experience focused and offers a direct path to viewing all accommodations with one click.
-
Will this button impact page load time?
The button is optimized for performance and won’t increase load time. Our technical team has worked to ensure it integrates smoothly without adding significant load.
-
How will this impact conversion metrics?
Based on our tests, the button has shown a promising increase in conversion rates, especially on mobile. Since, on average, 75% of traffic on the map is mobile, this button will make a real difference for you. It gives users a direct and easy way to browse accommodations, which leads to faster and more confident bookings, so you can expect a positive impact on conversions.
-
Can we rename the "See Accommodations" button to something like "Book Now"
At this time, it’s not possible to rename the button. Allowing custom text could create design challenges, like breaking the UI/UX with overly long or inconsistent copy.
Our goal at Stay22 is to provide you with tools that maximize revenue without requiring additional effort on your end. We carefully test and refine features like button text to ensure they perform optimally. In the future, we may conduct A/B testing to explore the best-performing copy across all.
